WHAT TO EXPECT FROM YOUR PET PORTRAIT SESSION
Dogs have always been close to my heart. I used to have one of my own, and although I don’t currently share my home with a dog, I’m lucky enough to regularly care for many — and even the occasional cat — through pet sitting for friends. Being surrounded by different personalities, breeds and temperaments has deepened my connection with animals and strengthened my understanding of how they communicate, trust and express themselves.
Our four-legged friends give us an extraordinary kind of love: loyal, unconditional and full of joy. They are family, companions and constant sources of comfort. Spending time with so many different animals has helped me learn how to read their behaviour, respect their boundaries and respond calmly to their individual needs.
Having professional portraits of your pet is about so much more than a beautiful image. It’s about preserving memories of a bond that is truly irreplaceable. Our pets are part of our everyday lives, yet their time with us always feels far too short. A thoughtfully created portrait allows you to hold on to their character, their expressions and the love you share and to keep those memories alive as beautiful wall art in your home.
Every pet photography session I offer is tailored to the individual animal. Drawing on my experience, I take a gentle, patient approach, allowing dogs (and cats) the time they need to feel comfortable and safe. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, curious or calm, my goal is to create a relaxed environment where their true personality can shine, resulting in timeless images you’ll treasure for years to come.
Why do you edit your images?
Photography is my art. My RAW files are my canvas, and editing is my paint. Each image begins as a foundation, and through careful, thoughtful editing, I shape it into something expressive, emotional, and timeless. Creating fine art dog portraiture feels much like a painter with a brush — adding depth, light, and texture to transform a simple moment into something truly unforgettable.
Every dog has a unique personality, and editing allows me to highlight those little details that make your companion so special — the sparkle in their eyes, the softness of their fur, the quiet connection you share. My goal isn’t just to take a photograph, but to create artwork you’ll be proud to display in your home

What to expect from your session
When you arrive at the studio, you and your dog will be warmly welcomed and given time to settle in. We always allow a few minutes for your pup to explore, sniff around, and feel comfortable in the space before we begin. During the session, we capture a relaxed mix of gently posed portraits and more natural, candid moments that show off their true personality. Humans are absolutely part of the story too, so come photo-ready — we’ll make sure you get in front of the camera for some special shots together. Feel free to bring along your dog’s favourite toy or treats to help keep them engaged and happy. With a choice of beautiful backdrops and a calm, unhurried approach, sessions typically last around 45–60 minutes, giving us plenty of time to create images you’ll love.

- Pre-shoot telephone consultation
- 45 minutes studio session time, no rush. This allow your dog to settle, sniff around before I start photographing them
- 5 fine art style individually edited high resolution digital images
- Option to purchase additional digital images for £25 each
- Face-to-face viewing session couple of weeks after your session
- £50 credit to spend on wall arts
- The cost of this package is for one dog only. To add a second dog, will be an additional £50

- Pre-shoot telephone consultation
- Up to 2 hours session time starting in the studio first before we head out with your four-legged bestie. After capturing some fine art style images in the studio, we go outside to a nearby filed and wood to show your dog’s best side in the nature.
- Human family is welcome for the outdoor part
- 10 individually edited high resolution digital images including family portraits
- Option to purchase additional digital images for £25 each
- Face-to-face viewing session couple of weeks after your session
- £50 credit to spend on wall arts
